Hi! My name is Hope and I am from Minnesota. From the foster: My foster mom tells me everyday that I'm the best girl ever and I try to be humble but I really do think I'm the best! I'm a pretty simple girl and all I really need to be happy is a ball, a bone, my people, and of course my pup cup from Starbucks. I'm pretty much down for whatever from long walks, to going on adventures, to swimming at the lake, hanging at a brewery, to even laying on the couch binging Netflix with you all day if you had a late night out. I like to be outside and active, but I've also learned from my older foster sister that naps are important and she has taught me the art of relaxation. When my foster sister isn't being lazy we love to play tug of war and wrestle. I would love another dog to play with but I also like my solo time. I don't think I would be cool with a cat, they seem too fun to chase. When it comes to people, I love them, but at first I'm a little unsure. I probably will ignore you at first, but I promise that doesn't mean I don't like you! I just like to sniff from afar. Once I realize that you smell pretty good, I love to get belly rubs and cuddle in your lap(yes, I'm still a baby and always will be). When you leave the house, I prefer to hangout in my crate. I like to take naps in there or chew on a bone while you're gone. While I sometimes free roam and don't destroy anything, I get a little sad to see my foster mom go and I feel safer in my crate. I also like sleeping in my crate at night and typically take myself to bed around 8:30. I, of course, won't decline an invitation into the bed though. I am fully potty trained and wait by the door and whine when I need to go out. I also am a genius and love to please my person so training has been a breeze. Did I mention I can even play the piano? I think what really makes me the best girl is my big heart(literally and figuratively, see below), my goofy personality, my funky ears, and my calm nature. I can't wait to take on life's journey with you. You can never have too much Hope. From the Vet:Hi! My name is Hope and I have been in rescue for a while figuring out some stuff in regards to my heart murmur. My initial exam showed mild enlargement of the heart along with the finding of the murmur. After 2 echo cardiograms having been pursued with TBB's cardiology specialty partner the murmur is caused by a residual backflow of blood across my heart vessels. The enlargement of my heart is not clinically significant at this time and the pacemaker of my heart seems to be sending messages appropriately and is keeping things as in sync as they possibly can be. I will not need any medications going forward and am set to be adopted as is with no further cardiology work up needed other than my annual vet visits. My future adopter should be in tune with my baseline as I should always be monitored for increased respiratory rates or labored breathing and seek appropriate care if necessary. I hope to see meet you soon and settle in to my forever home!
